After working as a nurse for 13 years in surgical intensive care units, GYN Oncology, and ENT Oncology, at area hospitals including Duke, Durham VA and Wake Medical, Gina earned her Masters of Nursing degree from Duke University. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and works closely with Dr. MacKinnon as her consulting physician. She has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Primary and Urgent Care medical offices for over 10 years. She has been married for 25 years and has three children. Best of all she has a French bulldog named Boomer that accompanies her to work.
